Chapter 10
The Unfolding Tapestry
Reflecting on how past mistakes and hardships are not liabilities but integral parts of the life story and the divine plan. Understanding that brokenness can be a source of strength and empathy.
The years behind me felt like a tangled mess of fishing line, each knot a regret, each frayed end a missed opportunity. For so long, I’d looked at that mess and seen only a worthless heap, something to be discarded, forgotten, buried deep. I carried the weight of every wrong turn like a sack of stones, stumbling along, expecting at any moment to be called out, to be exposed as the fraud I felt myself to be. Even after that moment, that blinding flash of understanding that had set me on this new course, the Voice would still creep in, its tendrils wrapping around my thoughts like thorny vines. “You think *this* is your calling? You, with your history? You’re a joke. They’ll see right through you.”
