Chapter 9
A Queen's Last Breath
The Queen Mother succumbs to illness. In the wake of her death, Isodole and Riven share a passionate kiss, solidifying their burgeoning feelings.

A weak smile touched her lips, a ghost of the formidable woman she had once been. "My... my little dove," she whispered, her voice barely audible above the crackle of the fire.
