The air in the ancient ruins hung heavy, thick with the scent of damp earth and forgotten time. Sunlight, fractured by the skeletal remains of a long-vanished civilization, painted shifting patterns across the moss-covered stones. Elara traced a finger over a weathered inscription, her brow furrowed in concentration. The symbols were unlike anything she'd encountered in her studies, yet a faint resonance hummed beneath her touch, a whisper of the celestial order she sought.

"Anything?" Kael's voice, low and gravelly, broke the silence. He stood a few paces away, his posture tense, his eyes scanning the crumbling arches and fallen pillars with an unnerving intensity. He seemed less like a man exploring ruins and more like someone bracing for an ambush.

Elara shook her head, a sigh escaping her lips. "It’s… different. The script is archaic, even for this region. Master Eldrin’s notes mentioned variations, but this feels… older. Deeper." She ran her hand over the cool stone again, trying to coax secrets from its silent depths. The map fragment, painstakingly pieced together, indicated Quadrant Two lay somewhere in this desolate expanse, a place the locals shunned, speaking only in hushed tones of restless spirits and ill fortune.
