The last echo of the giant's frustrated roar seemed to cling to the very air of the Whispering Woods, a final, fading testament to their narrow escape. Max and Leo didn't linger to listen. With a shared glance that spoke volumes of adrenaline and relief, they turned and ran, their small legs pumping like pistons against the moss-covered earth.
