Their quest begins at a nexus point, a place where the threads are strong. Sana must learn to perceive and interact with them, facing her initial fear and doubt.

The air thrummed with a vibrant, almost audible energy, a sensation Sana had never experienced before. It wasn't the cacophony of a bustling city or the gentle murmur of a forest; this was something far more fundamental, a hum that resonated deep within her bones. They stood on a windswept plateau, a place Asad had called a ‘Nexus Point.’ Jagged peaks, dusted with perpetual snow, clawed at a sky painted in hues of twilight, even though the sun was still high above. Below them, a valley stretched, dotted with ancient, gnarled trees whose branches seemed to twist in impossible directions, as if reaching for something just beyond mortal sight.

“This is it, Sana,” Asad’s voice, usually so calm, held a trace of awe. He gestured with an open hand, encompassing the breathtaking, alien landscape. “Where the threads are strongest. Where the weave is most visible.”

Sana looked at him, then back at the vista. She saw… nothing out of the ordinary. Just a wild, beautiful expanse. “Visible?” she echoed, a knot of apprehension tightening in her stomach. The fear, a persistent companion since Asad’s startling revelation, was a cold, clammy hand on her heart. She was a librarian, for heaven's sake. Her world was made of paper and ink, of quiet contemplation, not of… whatever this was.
