Beside her, Asad’s hand was a steady anchor on her arm, his presence a quiet reassurance against the gnawing unease that prickled her skin. They had followed the faint, fraying threads of reality to this desolate corner of the world, a place where the Shadowy Entity had made its lair.

The entity itself was not a creature of flesh and blood, but a coalescing of darkness, a void that seemed to drink the light from the cavern. It pulsed with a malevolent intent, a palpable aura of destruction that made Sana’s teeth ache. “It senses you, Sana,” Asad’s voice was a low rumble, barely audible above the unsettling hum that emanated from the entity. “It knows you are the key. It will try to break you.”
