Pablo Meets Adam the Argentinosaurus
Pablo meets Old Paint the horse for the very first time. Old Paint offers Pablo to ride on his back for a secret nighttime horseback riding adventure.
Pablo is asleep in his bedroom, dreaming about Argentinosauruses.
“I wish I could meet an Argentinosaurus for real someday,” Pablo says dreamily. “Maybe I could even go for a ride.” Pablo drifts off to sleep. In his dream, Pablo is riding directly on top of a friendly Argentinosaurus’s head as it walks through a prehistoric landscape.
Then a distant roar interrupted Pablo’s dream. A shadow was coming near. It came closer and closer until it reached Pablo’s window. There, next to him, was a gentle, blue Argentinosaurus. His body shone in the moonlight. “Wake up!” the Argentinosaurus called. Pablo heard the dinosaur and sat up. “Greetings, young adventurer,” the Argentinosaurus said warmly. Pablo opened his eyes and gasped. His wish had come true.
“Oh, hi there,” Pablo murmured sleepily. “Who are you?” “I’m Adam,” he said. “I’m an Argentinosaurus.” “Oh, wow!” Pablo exclaimed. “An Argentinosaurus at my house!”
“Yes,” Adam said. “And who may you be, young adventurer?” “Hi there, Adam." said Pablo. "My name is Pablo." “Oh, Pablo!” Adam said warmly. “Nice to meet you. I’ve heard a lot about you. I’ve also heard about your great love for Argentinosauruses.” “You have?” Pablo asked. “Yes,” Adam said. “Nice to meet you too, Adam,” Pablo said. “What am I doing here at this hour, you ask?” Adam said mysteriously. “I’m going to take you on a secret nighttime Argentinosaurus adventure. Would you like to?” Pablo thought about it. “Hmm... I’ve never gone on an Argentinosaurus adventure before,” Pablo said thoughtfully. “Yes, please!” Adam was so happy to hear the news. “Wonderful!” Adam said happily. “Wait here, Adam,” Pablo said eagerly. “I’ll go get my lantern.”
Pablo tiptoed quietly into his parents’ bedroom and grabbed his lantern. His parents remained asleep as he carefully tiptoed back out. “I got my lantern!” Pablo said quietly. “Excellent,” Adam said. “Now, come out the window.” Pablo climbed out the window. Adam lowered his head until his head was touching the ground. “Adam, why have you lowered your head?” Pablo asked curiously. “Because we’re going on an adventure,” Adam explained. “Now, climb aboard.” Pablo was delighted. He had never ridden a real Argentinosaurus before, so he climbed onto Adam’s head. Adam raised his head.
“What are we going to find on our adventure?” Pablo asked.
But before Adam could even answer, magic came toward Pablo. Golden magical sparkles swirled around Pablo from his toes upward, transforming him from head to toe and replacing his blue pajamas with an adventurer outfit. The magic disappeared, leaving Pablo in his adventurer outfit.
“Uh, Pablo,” replied Adam. “You’ve changed yourself.” Pablo frowned in confusion. “What do you mean?” Pablo asked. “Look at yourself,” Adam instructed. Adam lowered his head again. Pablo gasped. His reflection stared back at him in the window. “Oh, wow!” exclaimed Pablo excitedly. “I’m an adventurer now!” “Yes,” said Adam cheerfully. "A rather happy one." Adam raised his head again. “Hold on tight, Pablo!” Adam called. Pablo held on tight as Adam began to walk away into the distance beneath the moonlit sky. “Yay!” Pablo cheered excitedly. “I’m actually doing it for real. I’m riding an Argentinosaurus!” Pablo was extremely happy to be riding on Adam as they walked off together, wearing a big smile of excitement.
