Chapter 10
The Artifact's Whisper
As Elara reaches for the artifact, it responds. A warmth spreads through her, a sense of recognition. The feeling of being watched transforms into a feeling of being understood.

They didn't vanish, not entirely, but their sharp edges softened, transforming from a source of dread into a comforting embrace. The feeling of being watched was still there, but it was no longer an invasion. It was a presence, a silent, knowing companion.
Beside her, the Mischievous Creature shifted, its form rippling like water. “So, you feel it,” it rasped, its voice a dry rustle of leaves. “The connection. It has been waiting for you, Elara, for a very long time.”
