“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” A voice as smooth as polished river stone interrupted his thoughts. Sarah, the woman who bore Lily’s eyes, her laughter tinkling like wind chimes, stood beside him, a pitcher of iced lemonade in her hand. Her smile was wide, unwavering. “The way the light catches the rooftops. It’s like a dream.”
