Chapter 20
A Sweetly Earned Finale
Elena watches Anya and Liam, their bakery thriving. She realizes true love and success aren't dictated, but discovered. Her greatest wish is fulfilled: Anya's happiness, found on her own terms.
Elena watched from her favorite table by the window, the one that offered the best view of the bustling street and, more importantly, of her Anya. The afternoon sun, softened by the delicate lace curtains Anya had insisted upon, cast a warm glow over the little patisserie. Liam. The charming architect who had stumbled – quite literally, in a shower of spilled coffee – into their lives. Elena remembered her initial assessment: he was handsome, successful, and most importantly, he looked at Anya with an admiration that made Elena’s heart sing. She had seen, from the very beginning, the spark between them, a spark Anya had been too shy to acknowledge and Elena had, in her own way, tried to fan. Now, that spark had ignited into a steady, warm flame.
