The wind howled, a mournful, keening sound that vibrated through Alex’s very bones. It wasn't just wind; it was a symphony of fury, a prelude to a cataclysm. Above, the sky, once a canvas of alien constellations, was now a churning, bruised canvas of bruised purples and angry greys. The storm, a colossal entity of elemental rage, was no longer a distant threat. It was here.

Alex’s fingers, raw and blistered, fumbled with a tangle of wires. Each spark that flew was a tiny defiance against the encroaching chaos. The alien ship, a skeletal marvel of iridescent alloys, groaned under the onslaught of the wind.
