The Forest Festival
The forest animals celebrate Barnaby's safe return with a festival. Lily discovers she can create intricate light patterns, delighting everyone. She realizes that her home is wherever she is needed and loved.
The meadow buzzed with excitement. Word of Barnaby’s return spread quickly through the forest. Squirrels scampered down from the trees, carrying nuts and berries. A family of hedgehogs rolled in, their spines adorned with tiny flowers. Even a shy deer peeked out from behind the oak tree, her eyes curious.
“A festival!” cried Polly the beaver, slapping her tail. “We must have a festival!”
Barnaby’s mother, a soft-furred rabbit named Hazel, nodded. “It is the least we can do. Our little one is home, and we have a new friend to thank.” She looked at Lily, her eyes warm.
