Facing the immediate danger, humans and orcs fight side-by-side, their combined strengths proving more powerful than any division.
The air crackled, not with the usual crackle of twigs underfoot or the rustle of leaves, but with a raw, untamed energy that vibrated through bone and sinew. Aris, his heart thrumming a frantic rhythm against his ribs, stood between two worlds, the cacophony of fear and defiance a stark contrast to the quiet understanding he had painstakingly cultivated. To his left, the human soldiers, their faces a mask of grim determination, gripped their weapons, the glint of steel catching the dim, filtered sunlight. To his right, the orcs, their hulking forms a testament to their strength, let out guttural roars, their eyes, usually pools of ancient wisdom, now blazing with a fierce protectiveness.
Commander Valerius, his voice a sneering whip, stood at the forefront of the human contingent. "Thorne! You fool! You've led us into a trap! These beasts will tear us apart!"
Aris met Valerius's venomous gaze, his own resolve hardening. "They are not beasts, Commander, and this is not a trap. This is a moment of truth. A moment for us to prove that we are more than our fears." He turned, his voice carrying, "Lyra! Grak! Do you hear me?"
