The cavern walls here were not merely rock; they were veins of molten fury, pulsing with an inner light that cast dancing, distorted shadows. Rivers of lava, thick and viscous, snaked through the floor, their heat radiating upwards in shimmering waves that distorted the air. The sound was a constant, low roar, the groaning of the earth as it churned within its fiery heart.
