The air in the Celestial Realm was not air at all, but a symphony of light and sound. It hummed with a frequency that vibrated not just in Elara’s ears, but in the very marrow of her bones. Gone were the earthy scents of moss and damp soil, replaced by the intoxicating perfume of stardust and something akin to a thousand blooming night flowers. Above, the sky was not blue, but a swirling nebula of amethyst and rose, punctuated by constellations that pulsed with their own gentle rhythm. She stood on a path paved with iridescent crystals, each one reflecting a fragment of her own wide-eyed wonder. The Echoing Gate, a shimmering archway of pure energy, had receded behind her, its familiar glow now a distant memory.
“Welcome, Voyager,” a voice chimed, soft as the brush of butterfly wings. Elara turned, her heart leaping. Hovering before her were beings of pure light, their forms fluid and indistinct, yet radiating an aura of profound peace. They were the Lumina, she knew, the celestial guides whose whispers had sometimes brushed against her consciousness even in her own world. Tonight, they were manifest, their presence a tangible warmth.
“Where… where am I?” Elara breathed, the question feeling inadequate for the immensity of her surroundings.
