Kael, his brow furrowed in concentration, traced patterns on the frosted ground with a gloved finger. "It's… different," Elara murmured, her gaze sweeping across the alien sky. The usual vibrant greens and purples of the aurora were muted, replaced by a subtle, shimmering silver that pulsed with a rhythm Kael insisted was a language.

"Different is an understatement," Finn added, his voice a little too loud in the hushed expanse. He nudged a loose shard of ice with the toe of his boot, the small sound echoing unnervingly. "Are we sure this is the right way? It feels like we've stepped off the edge of the world, and not in a good, 'discovery' kind of way."
