The void of the celestial expanse pressed in on them, a darkness so profound it felt like a physical weight. Above, the aurora borealis, usually a vibrant tapestry of colour, had dimmed to a mere wisp, a pale imitation of its former glory. Elara, Finn, and Kael floated in this silent, star-dusted emptiness, tethered together by a shared sense of apprehension. They had navigated the swirling nebulae and the shimmering currents of the Celestial Sea, but this place, this utter blackness, felt different. It was a place where light itself seemed to falter.

"Are you sure about this, Kael?" Finn’s voice, usually so full of playful banter, was hushed, tinged with an unfamiliar unease. He nudged a stray, glittering dust mote with his boot, sending it tumbling into the abyss. "It feels… empty. Like the universe forgot to paint this bit."

Kael, his brow furrowed in concentration as he consulted his ancient charts, shook his head. "The prophecies spoke of a realm beyond the stars, a place where true courage is tested. This must be it. The Lumina Steed wouldn't be found easily, not when the shadow grows so strong."
