Love in the City of Stars

8 min read

The California sun, a relentless golden eye, beat down on Anya’s small apartment, coaxing the last vestiges of morning mist from the San Fernando Valley. It was a sun that promised everything and delivered very little, a sun that had, thus far, illuminated more of her mounting bills than her burgeoning career.
