The River of Reflected Stars

7 min read

The wind, usually a playful companion, now seemed to sigh with a gentle melancholy as Bartholomew padded along the edge of Willow Creek. The village, usually a tapestry of twinkling lights and cheerful chatter, was hushed, the silence a heavy blanket over the cobblestones. The Labyrinth of Lost Lullabies had offered no easy answers, only a deeper understanding of the encroaching darkness.
