Chapter 6
Anya's Quiet Courage
Anya, usually flustered, finds a hidden reserve of bravery when Baba Yaga faces a sudden challenge. Her practical skills and quiet resilience prove vital, surprising even herself and her feisty friend.
Anya gripped the worn leather seat of the scooter, her knuckles white as a ghost’s. Baba Yaga waved a dismissive hand, the movement sending a ripple through her crimson scarf. "Familiar is boring, Anya! We are on an escapade! Besides," she leaned in conspiratorially, her voice dropping to a raspy whisper, "the Crow mentioned a shortcut. A very interesting shortcut."
