Elias nodded, tracing the outline of a newly formed cluster with his finger. It bore no resemblance to the constellations he’d memorized as a boy, yet it felt as right, as natural, as the Ursa Major he’d once known. “Master Valerius used to say the stars were alive, that they breathed and shifted. I never truly understood until now.”
