Chapter 11
Meeting the Guardian
Elara reaches a serene clearing where she meets the Ethereal Guardian. Its presence is calming, and its voice resonates with ancient wisdom, offering guidance.
The air thickened, not with the damp chill of the labyrinth’s stone, but with a profound stillness that seeped into my very bones. The frantic scuttling of the Whispering Sprite, its riddles still echoing faintly in the corners of my mind, had faded into a gentle hum, a vibration that felt less like sound and more like a presence. I had followed the path, or rather, the path had seemed to coalesce before me, a subtle invitation woven from strands of moonlight and the scent of damp earth. It led me away from the bewildering twists and turns, away from the illusions that had pricked at my resolve, and into a space that felt… sacred.

It was a form, shimmering and indistinct, like heat rising from a summer road, or the iridescence on a soap bubble. Color bled into color, shifting and swirling, yet it held a definite presence, a quiet gravity that drew me closer.
A voice, soft as falling snow yet carrying the resonance of ages, unfurled in the quiet. It didn't arrive through my ears, but seemed to bloom within my own thoughts, a gentle unfolding of understanding.
