THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER (Matthew 13:11 -23) •A SOWER: Behold,a sower went out to sow,And as he sawed,some fell by the wayside, and the birds came and devoured them. •STONY PLACES:Some fell on the Stony places,where they did not have much earth. •SPRANG UP:And immediately sprange up because they had no depth of the earth. •SCORCHED:But when the sun was up they were scorched,and because they had no root they withered away. •THORNS:And some fell among thorns ,and the thorns sprang up and choked them. •GOOD GROUND:But orders fell on good ground and yielded,Crop some a hundred fold,some sixty,some thirty.He who has ears to hear let him hear. THE PURPOSE OF THE PARABLES MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN •HEARS: Therefore hear the parable of the sower,when anyone hears the word of the kingdom. •ROOT:Yet he has no root in himself but endures for a while. •THE WORD:This is he who hears the word of the kingdom,and does not understand it.then the wicked one comes,and snatches away what was sown in his heart. •STONY PLACES:Some fell on the Stony places, where they did not have much earth. •GOOD GROUND:But he who received seed on the good ground,is he who hears the word and understands it,who indeed bears fruit and produces,some a hundred fold,some thirty. THE PARABLE OF THE WHEAT AND THE TARES. (Matthew 13:24 -30) •THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN:Is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. •ENEMY:But while men slept,his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. •THE GRAIN:But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop,then the tares also appeared. •THE SERVANTS:Of the owner came and said to him,sir,did you not sow good seed in your field?How then does it have tares? •GROW TOGETHER:Let both grow together until the harvest.i will say to the reapers,first gather together the tares and bind them in the bundles to burn them,but gather the wheat into the barn. THE PARABLE OF THE MUSTARD SEED(Matthew 13:31 - 32) •MUSTARD SEED:The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, Which a man took and sowed in his field. •THE LEAST OF ALL SEEDS:Which indeed is the least of all the seed,but when it grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree. •BRANCHES:So that the birds of the air come and nest it's branches. THE PARABLE OF THE LEAVEN (Matthew 13:33) •LEAVEN:The kingdom of heaven is like a leaven, which a woman took and hid in measures of meal,till it was leavened. THE PARABLE OF THE TARES EXPLAINED (Matthew 13:37 - 43) •THE SON OF MAN:He who sows the good seed is the son of man. •THE FIELD :Is the world,the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom. •THE TARES:Are the sons of the wicked one. •THE ENEMY:Who sowed them is the devil. •THE HARVEST:Is the end of the age. •THE REAPERS:Are angels. •GATHERED AND BURNED: Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire,so it will be at the end of this age. •PRACTICE OF LAWLESSNESS:And will cast them into the furnace of fire. •WAILING AND GNASHING OF TEETH:There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. •THE RIGHTEOUSNESS:Will shine forth as sun in the kingdom of their father.He who has ears to hear,let him hear. THE PARABLE OF THE HIDDEN TREASURE (Matthew 13:44) •HIDDEN TREASURE:The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in the field. •FOUND: Which a man found and hid. •SELLS: and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys the field. THE PARABLE OF THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE.(Matthew 13:45) •MERCHANT:The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls. •ONE PEARL:Who, when he has found one pearl of great price. •SOLD ALL:Went and sold all he had and bought it. THE PARABLE OF THE DRAUGHT (Matthew 13:47 - 52) •DRAGNET:The kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some every kind. •VESSELS:Which when it was full,they drew to shore;and they drew to shore,and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels.but threw bad away. •THE END OF THE AGE:So it will be at the end of the age.The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the Just. •FURNACE OF FIRE:There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. ••JESUS: Said to them,Have you understood all these things.Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of Heaven is like a householder who brings out his treasure things new and old. JESUS TRANSFIGURED ON THE MOUNTAIN (Matthew 17:1 -13) •AFTER SIX DAYS:Now after six days Jesus took Peter,James,and John his brother,led them up on a high mountain by themselves. •TRANSFIGURED:And he was transfigured before them.His face shine like the sun,and His clothes became as white as the light. •MOSES AND ELIJAH: And Behold,Moses and Elijah appeared to them.talking with Him. •BRIGHT CLOUD:While he was still speaking, behold,a bright cloud overshadowed them. •A VOICE:And suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying,"This is my beloved son,in whom I am well pleased.Hear Him." •ELIJAH: Jesus answered and said to them"indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things. A BOY IS HEALED •MULTITUDE:And when they had come to the multitudes a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him. •AN EPILEPTIC:Lord ,have mercy on my son,for he is an epileptic and suffers severely, for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. •UNBELIEF:So Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief, for Assuredly,I say to you,if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain,move from here to there. •PRAYER AND FASTING: However,this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.
