Chapter 11
A Dialogue with Silence
Kristijana finds herself in a one-sided conversation with her father's memory. She voices her questions, her anger, and her confusion into the quiet expanse of the house.

But now, it felt different. It was not the comfortable quietude of solitude, but a charged, heavy stillness, as if the very walls were holding their breath, waiting. Kristijana traced the cool, smooth surface of the wooden box, her father’s final, enigmatic offering. Her fingers, usually so precise, trembled slightly.
“So,” she began, her voice a low murmur that seemed to be swallowed by the oppressive quiet, “this is it, then? This is all you left me? She turned the box over in her hands, its weight familiar yet alien. It was crafted from a dark, unidentifiable wood, intricately carved with geometric patterns that seemed to shift and reform under her gaze. Her father, a man who had always measured the world in equations and theorems, had left her a legacy of questions, not answers. And this object, this tangible piece of his absence, was the most profound question of all.
