Chapter 4
A Promise and a Departure
With a determined heart, Joy Joel decides to seek the magical flower. He promises his worried parents and a weak Rose that he will return with a cure. Emma gives him a small, worn map and words of encouragement.
The air in Joy Joel’s small home felt heavy, thick with worry and the faint scent of the herbal remedies his mother brewed. Joy Joel looked into her tired eyes, and a fire ignited within him. It wasn’t a fire of anger, but a steady, unwavering flame of determination. “I promise,” he said, his voice firm and clear. “I promise I’ll bring you the healing flower.”
