Chapter 14
A Desperate Brew

It was the most potent ingredient, the catalyst she prayed would bind the volatile elements of the cure. But using it was a gamble, a dangerous dance on the edge of her own control. Each drop she willingly shed was a reminder of the thirst that gnawed at her, a primal hunger she had spent centuries suppressing.
