The air in my small flat felt thick, heavy with unspoken words and the lingering scent of stale coffee. We’d been talking for hours, or rather, I'd been talking, a torrent of confusion and fragmented memories that had been bubbling beneath the surface for weeks, finally erupting. Jax’s cryptic words, the unnerving familiarity of Silas’s gaze, the phantom echoes of a life I couldn’t quite grasp – it was all a tangled mess in my head.
“So, you’re saying… Silas… might be your dad?” Maya’s voice was barely a whisper, as if saying it too loud would make it unbearably real.
I nodded, a knot tightening in my stomach. “It sounds insane, I know. But… the way he looked at me at that club opening. And Jax kept hinting, you know? That my connection to this scene went deeper than just wanting to DJ. And then… I found that old photo album.”
