Its hooves, which had once thundered across forgotten realms, now seemed to tread on air, leaving no trace but a lingering shimmer that pulsed with the aurora’s ethereal glow.
Elara rode beside Kael, her heart brimming with a quiet joy that settled deep within her bones. The Lumina Steed’s presence was a constant comfort, a silent affirmation of their success. She glanced at Finn, who, for once, was not cracking jokes or trying to balance precariously on a fallen log. He sat straighter in his saddle, his eyes wide with wonder, occasionally reaching out a hand as if to touch the shimmering mane of their celestial guide.
“It’s… it’s real,” Finn murmured, his voice hushed, stripped of its usual boisterousness. “All of it. The legends, the trials, the light.”
