“She’s asking too many questions, Devansh,” Rohan finally said, his voice a low rumble that barely disturbed the quiet. “About her past. About the circumstances of her adoption.”
Devansh met his gaze, his own expression a mixture of concern and understanding. He had observed the subtle shifts, the growing unease that had begun to ripple through the Malhotra and Obroye spheres. He’d seen the flicker of doubt in Natasha’s eyes, the way she’d sometimes trace the contours of her face as if searching for a forgotten memory. “The clue… the locket, was it?” he prompted gently.
