…"Where to now?" he asked, his voice still rough, but tinged with a growing sense of wonder. The whispers answered, a soft chorus of leaves and wind. "Towards the dawn. The edge of the green. Freedom awaits." He turned in the direction suggested, a faint but persistent pull drawing him onward. The forest still loomed, vast and mysterious, but it no longer felt like a prison. It felt like a path, a challenging, unpredictable path, but one that, for the first time, he felt he might just be able to navigate. He was no longer just a thief running from the law; he was a traveler, guided by the very breath of the wild, heading towards an unknown horizon.
