…Danial stood at the threshold, the scent of pine and damp earth clinging to him, the ethereal whispers now a silent echo in his mind. He looked back at the dark, impenetrable wall of trees, a place where he had been lost and found, where he had been hunted and saved. He was free. The city, his old life, and his pursuers seemed a world away. He turned his back on the forest, his gaze fixed on the horizon, a new path stretching out before him, guided by a mystery he would never fully understand, forever changed by the whispers of the unseen.
