…It was a spiritual battle, and the forces of treachery were indeed prowling on every side. But amidst the encroaching darkness, the pure words of the LORD, like silver tried in the furnace, offered a flicker of unwavering light, a promise of preservation for those who clung to His truth, even when their own hearts were troubled. He would not fall by his own counsels, nor be cast out by his own transgressions, for he would entrust himself, and his troubled spirit, to the One who knew the way of righteousness, and who would ultimately see him through. He would look up, as he always did, and trust that the Lord, his King and his God, would hear his prayer.
