…Corbin looked at the empty space where Vance and his men had stood. They hadn’t been killed; they’d been… displaced. Sent somewhere. By Anya. By the ancient power. The crystal hummed softly. The danger wasn't over. In fact, it had just taken a terrifyingly new turn. The secrets of the lost civilization were far more potent, and far more dangerous, than anyone had imagined. And now, Corbin and Anya were the only ones who truly understood the magnitude of what they had uncovered. They had to secure this place, and then find Vance. He was out there somewhere, and he would be back.
