A text from an unknown number. Nice work tonight. But you forgot about Dre. He made bail. He's coming for you. And this time, he's not alone. Javier's stomach dropped. He showed Nia. She read it, her face going pale. "It's not over," she said. "No," Javier said. "It's not." He looked out the window. The streetlights at the end of the road flickered. Somewhere in the dark, a car was moving. And Javier knew: the fight wasn't done yet.
