…Javier's phone buzzed. He pulled it out. A text from an unknown number: Nice job. But your brother's house is next. —Rico. His stomach dropped. Rico. The one who disappeared. The one they'd forgotten about. He looked up at Marcus. "We got a problem." "What?" "Rico. He's not with Cisco. He's going after Rafael." Marcus cursed. They ran for the truck. The sun was almost gone now. The streetlights along the highway flickered on, casting long shadows. Javier pressed the gas, and the truck tore down the road toward Rafael's house, toward the next fight, toward a threat he thought he'd left behind. But he wasn't running. He was going home. And he wasn't going to let anyone take that away.
