He still missed Maya and Sam terribly, but the fear had receded, replaced by a sense of purpose. He knew what he had to do. With a grateful nod to the ancient tree, Leo turned, the glowing leaf held carefully in his hand, and stepped further into the whispering, wondrous heart of the forest. The adventure had truly begun.
