We have one day to find a way back.” Elara looked at the sphere in her hands. It hummed faintly—not with power, but with possibility. “Or we find a way to stay together,” she said. Kael’s eyes met hers. “Is that a choice we can make?” She didn’t answer. But she held his gaze, and for a moment, the world held still. Then the sphere pulsed once, and a path of light appeared through the Veilwood—a way forward, not back.
