Kael stepped in front of Elara, his hands already glowing with pale light. "You're not taking it." The Shadow Weaver laughed, a dry, rattling sound. "I don't need to take it. I only need you to bring it here. The convergence point is this chamber. The seal is already broken. And now, with the artifact in reach…" It raised a hand, and the sphere in Elara's pack began to tremble. "The merging begins."
