Your fear. And now, your hope. The convergence will happen with or without the artifact. But I will still win." The cavern went dark. The sphere's light dimmed to a soft glow, barely illuminating the space. Elara lay on the moss, trembling, her mind blank where a memory used to be. She didn't know what she had lost. She only knew she had to move. Kael was waiting. Thorne was dying. The new moon was coming. And somewhere, in the dark, the Shadow Weaver was already moving toward victory.
