…As the first hints of dawn began to paint the sky outside, Destiny looked around the silent ballroom. She had confronted the Core, faced the Shadow Figure, and for now, she had won. But she knew this was just the beginning. The door between worlds remained, and the nightmares, as the Shadow Figure had warned, were not meant to be escaped. They were meant to be understood. And perhaps, in understanding them, she could finally find a way to truly conquer them. She turned, the dagger’s light still a comforting presence, and began to walk towards the exit, the weight of her own mind settling back upon her, a challenge she was now ready to face.
