…And she certainly wouldn’t let Bartholomew’s sacrifice be in vain. She would find a way. She had to. This was her street. This was her apocalypse. And she, Drucilla, would be its reluctant, peanut-butter-stained, gnome-avenging savior. The gears in her mind, though slightly greasy with the residue of failed peanut butter traps, began to whir. A new plan was already taking shape, a plan that would require more than just ramps and buckets. It would require… ingenuity. And perhaps, just perhaps, a little bit of Sonya’s unconventional wisdom. The gnome’s demise, she vowed, would not be the end of her story. It would be the messy, sticky, hilarious beginning of something even grander.
