…I turned then, the diary still clutched in my hand. The sunlight outside seemed brighter now, the air outside lighter. The mystery was solved. The truth, however bitter, was out. My duty was clear. I had to report back to the Queen. And then, somehow, I had to help her heal her garden, and her heart. The path ahead was still uncertain, but at least now, I knew which path to take. The path away from the suffocating humidity of Elara’s conservatory, and towards the dawning light of resolution.
