…Kael’s gaze swept over the maps, over the faces of his commanders. The air crackled with a grim anticipation. The world had cracked. And now, he would break it further. He would unleash a nightmare that would echo through the shattered remnants of their reality. The time for talking was over. The time for the dead to walk had begun. “The stage is set,” Kael murmured, his voice barely audible, yet carrying the weight of an impending apocalypse. “The pieces are in motion. And the world will soon learn that the Bad Country, when pushed, is capable of horrors beyond their wildest nightmares.” He clutched the obsidian shard tighter, its cold seeping into his very bones. “Let the reaping begin.”
