…I glanced back. The cave entrance was gone. No, not gone—hidden. The ivy had already crept back into place, as if it had never been there. "Pip," I said, "did the cave disappear?" Pip kept walking. "The cave hasn't disappeared, Nova. It's waiting. Just like the moonstone waited for you. Just like your family has been waiting for you your whole life." My heart thumped. My whole life. I turned forward and followed the fox. Because for the first time in fifteen years, I was ready to find out where I truly belonged.
