…As we stepped back out into the fog, the whispers seemed to coalesce, no longer just random sounds but a chorus of sibilant voices, weaving a tapestry of dread. The air grew colder, and the oppressive silence of the woods was replaced by a symphony of unsettling noises – the snapping of twigs too close for comfort, the rustling that sounded like heavy footsteps just beyond our sight, and the distinct, chilling sensation of something large and hungry moving through the trees, its eyes fixed on us. The adventure had turned into a nightmare, and the true hunt was about to begin.
