…He looked out the viewport at the distant, beckoning blue of Earth. So close, yet so impossibly out of reach. He had dared to defy them, to challenge their carefully constructed reality. And now, they were reaching out from the shadows, their tendrils long and insidious, to pull him back into the darkness. His chase for the Blue Marble had led him not to salvation, but to the precipice of an unknown void, where the elite’s control reached further than he had ever imagined. The question was no longer if he would reach Earth, but if he would survive the journey at all. And if he did, what would be left of Seth Adams?
