…I turned back to my desk, the books still open, the pages still waiting. I had a long journey ahead of me, and the first step was to understand the shadow that connected Crowley to Leveau, the shadow that was now reaching out to touch me. I picked up the pen and began to write, not knowing where the words would lead, but trusting that the truth would find me in the end. The rain continued to fall, and the night grew deeper, and somewhere in the darkness, I could feel the faint pulse of a hidden world, beating in time with my own heart.
