…I had asked for the truth, and I had received it. But like all truths, it raised more questions than it answered. Who had I been in that past life? What role had I played in the Hermetic Order? And why, after all these years, was I being called back to remember? The questions hung in the air like smoke, unresolved, beautiful, and terrifying. I blew out the candle and let the darkness settle around me. The veils had parted, just for a moment, and I had seen what lay beyond. Now I had to decide what to do with that glimpse.
