…And so, here I sit, a solitary figure in this cramped camper, penning this testament to my life. Husbandless, childless, businessless, homeless, and seemingly hopeless. Yet, amidst the wreckage, a flicker of purpose ignites. Perhaps, in recounting these events, I can illuminate paths not taken, offer a mirror to those caught in similar storms. For in the relentless fight against the immediate threat, the alligator in the water, we can sometimes forget the larger, more insidious problem: the swamp itself. In our fervent attempts to help, we can inadvertently inflict wounds, hurting the very people we set out to protect.
