Tigers Don't Take Naps

…"Mama?" he whispered, his voice already sleepy. "Yes, my little Tiggy?" "I think… I think I want to nap now." Mama Tiger licked his ear. "That's my clever cub," she murmured. "Close your eyes now. Dream sweet dreams." Tiggy closed his eyes. He felt safe, loved, and so, so comfortable. He drifted off to sleep, the last thing he heard being his mama's soft, loving purr, a lullaby for a sleepy tiger cub. He had made a naptime pact, not with his friends, but with himself. A pact to rest, so he could play his very best. And as he slept, he dreamed of tomorrow, of sunshine, and of laughter, and of all the wonderful games he would play, wide awake and full of tiger-tastic energy.
